HIP FAT TRANSFER
HIP FAT
Transfer Surgery
The curvaceous woman is en vogue, again. Breasts are getting bigger, butts are getting fuller, and there is increasing demand for a fuller more curvaceous look to the thighs. Some women have very slender thighs, due either to genetics or a vigorous exercise program. For those that have this problem, we have designed a solution: hip / thigh fat transfer.
What are Hip Dips?
Hip dips are the inward curves along the side of your body just below your hip bones. Each person is different based on their bone structure; some hip dips are more noticeable than others but are a normal occurrence in both men and women.
The scientific term for hip dips is called “trochanteric depression”. Another popular term is “violin hip”. The reference to the violin is due to the inward curve on the instrument.
For women who desire a curvier figure, there are procedures available to help shape the outer hip and produce a more hourglass-like figure and reduce the appearance of the hip dip. Two options are available: fat transfer and silicone implant placement.
Hip Dips – Fat Transfer
Our recommendation is to start with a fat transfer, if there is enough quantity, as it is yours and there is a lesser risk of complications associated with fat grafting.
While not 100% of the fat will stay, studies have clearly shown that fat is retained after fat transfer. More than one fat transfer may be required to achieve a more prominent volume addition to the hip region.
